Silent retreat

Afgelopen weekend hadden wij Jeff Johnson aan boord die een weekend stille tijd had georganiseerd. Met in de avond, in de morgen van vrijdag tot en met zondag avond een tijd voor gebed, zang en stilte. Een lied willen we jullie niet onthouden; Laat niets je verontrusten, word niet bang, Terwijl alles voorbij gaat, God veranderd niet! Wees geduldig en je krijgt wat je nodig hebt. Met God in je hart mist je niets, God geeft alleen voldoening, God geeft alleen voldoening.

Het was goed uit de drukte van elke dag te stappen en tijd apart te hebben.

Die letzten 4 Tage hatten wir ein Wochenende „Der Stille“ mit Jeff Johnson. Es gab viel Instrumentale Musik, Stille, Pausen, gemeinsames Singen und Beten. Ein Auszug aus einem Lied das wir sangen: „Lass dich durch nichts beunruhigen, lass dich durch nichts beängstigen. Während alles vorüber geht, Gott verändert sich nicht. Sei geduldig und du wirst alles gewinnen. Mit Gott in deinem Herzen fehlt dir nichts. Gott alleine genügt. Gott allein genügt.“

Uns hat die Stille und das neu auf Gott fokussieren, sehr gut getan.

The last 4 days we had a silent retreat with Jeff Johnson. We had a lot of instrumental music, silence, rest, singing and praying together. The lyrics of one of the songs we sang: “Let nothing disturb you, let nothing alarm you. While all things are passing, God is unchanging. Be patient and you will gain everything. With God in your heart nothing is lacking. God alone suffices, God alone suffices.”

The silence, rest and new focusing on God have been very good for us.
